Our principles

User Self Service (USS)

The USS utilities enable users to resolve common issues themselves within boundaries defined by the administrators.

  • Designed to reduce calls into the helpdesk.
  • Simple and approachable UI for non-technical users.
  • Keeping the installation, licensing and architecture simple.
  • Perpetual site license that is soft i.e. not enforced. No subscriptions.
  • Centrally controled configuration:
    • No need for per-user configuration.
    • Can use Active Directory groups for authorization.
    • Can run standalone.
  • No USS utility will communicate with external systems.

USS utilities are designed to run in an Active Directory domain, but they can also run stand-alone.
